HI! I'M STACEY!
As an adult, the accomplishment that I am proudest of and most grateful for is my education. In 2004, I graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University with dual Bachelor degrees in journalism and sociology. In 2009, I acquired a Masters in nonprofit management from Husson University. Over the years I have applied that knowledge to careers in service; working as a Program Director in a local youth mentoring organization, Development Director in a local animal shelter and now, a Director of Community Development in healthcare. But, my most impactful education has been the lessons I have learned from a diverse tapestry of teachers that have weaved in and out of my life. However, while grateful for them all, none have been more profound and noteworthy than my dogs: Nala, Koda, Aiden and Rumi (Ru).
I have always been inspired by the power of story. I believe storytelling is a privilege; giving a voice to those who do not have one. Over the years, I have learned to speak a special language with my dogs that has become a powerful force of love, reflection, healing, and growth in my life. My hope is that by sharing our story, it will help shape your own. Thanks for reading.
